MozyPro a Mandatory Prescription for PC911's Business Clients

PC911, a Las Vegas, NV-based IT and mobility solutions provider, doesn't take chances with its corporate customers' data. The numerous companies that rely on PC911 as their end-to-end IT service provider all use MozyPro throughout their organizations. The cloud backup solution is a mandatory component of PC911's service contracts—a feature PC911 CEO Chad Stone considers a no-brainer. "We consider MozyPro part of the essential services we offer," he says. "We need them to have reliable backups, and MozyPro is what we consider a reliable backup."

PC911's clients come from a variety of industries and are primarily small to mid-sized businesses which contract all of their IT services to Stone's company. One of the first steps in the process of becoming a PC911 customer is complete enterprise-wide adoption of MozyPro. "Most customers come to us with no backup—crossed fingers, a roll of the dice and the hope that nothing bad happens," he says. "At the most, some computers will have USB drives hooked up with a 'copy, paste, and hope' strategy."

In Stone's eyes, on-premise backups are far too risky and unreliable for the needs of his client base. "Backing up in the cloud removes issues like the management of tapes and eliminates silly risks like fire and theft," he says. "I can't imagine doing business without cloud backup."

Previously, PC911 contracted with another cloud backup system, but the provider was small and technical support was next to non-existent. Switching to Mozy gives Stone the enterprise-grade partner he and his clients need. "When I have techs in front of my customers, the last thing I can afford is for them to not be able to reach the vendors we've stuck our necks out for," he says. "That's never been a problem with Mozy, and I can't say that about any other vendor. Every time we contact Mozy there's someone available to work with."
