What is Mozy? What is your role in supporting Mozy customers?
Mozy is an online backup company where you can back up all of your files including music and pictures. In addition to helping our customers by answering emails regarding technical issues or questions about our products, we also test new features and offerings to ensure that we can help our customers when they contact us. I also like that I can be responsive to our customers by having an answer for customers at the drop of a hat. I’ve been here since the inception of the Support team and enjoy working at Mozy because my coworkers are awesome; everyone is so nice and friendly. Everyone wants to help each other out. Plus, I don’t mind the free food in the break room and I get to work with my spouse.
Where are you from originally?
I’m from Chicago. I don’t really have an accent anymore.
What do you do for fun on your days off?
I like to play Xbox. Right now I’m replaying the Halo games. I love to read, watch movies, TV shows (NCIS, Burn Notice). I also enjoy playing with my dog.
What skills do you have (Certificates, degrees, skills in general) that make you the right person for this job?
I have an elementary education degree, which actually applies to teaching and training customers on how to get their computers to work. I’m working on an Information Storage Management certification by EMC right now.
What is Mozy? What is your role in supporting Mozy customers?
Mozy is the best way to back up every important file or data that you have saved on your computer or laptop but it’s also the most concentrated volume of awesome in Utah! As a contributor to the collective awesome-ness of Mozy, I am one of the supervisors for our Level 1 U.S. tech support team. Mozy offers a challenging and fun work environment where I constantly learn something new. The added benefit of working here is that I get to work with smart, driven people that are truly passionate about our technology.
What do you love most about your role?
I enjoy being able to help our customers work through escalated and complex issues. I also like being able to help my team resolve new or challenging questions.
Where are you from originally?
I'm originally from Wichita Falls, Texas.
What do you do for fun on your days off?
On my days off you're equally likely to find me trotting around the dog park with my welsh corgi, Oliver, or owning face against all comers on Xbox Live.

I've been working in the support field for a little over seven years now. And I can proudly say that I've been breaking and fixing all kinds of computers since I was 12!
What is Mozy? What is your role in supporting Mozy customers?
Mozy is an online backup company – where we backup your files, in case something disastrous were to happen. It’s nice to have that type of peace of mind and certainty knowing that your most prized data – like files, photos and critical documents are safe. My role on the Mozy Support team allows me to take phone calls from Mozy customers around the world that have questions or are experiencing technical issues. I’m known on the Support team as “Git ‘er done Marc”! Working on the Support team allows me to work on something different all the time - you never know what you’re going to get. That’s what I love about the job - it’s far from routine. In addition to having the technical knowledge, you need to have an attitude that allows you to adapt quickly. Mozy has a great atmosphere where everyone is always willing to help - no matter who it is or what department. There aren’t many places you can work and say, “I love my job” but I can easily say that I love working here.
What do you love most about your role?
You are always working with people and being able to help them is the best feeling. Sometimes people get frustrated, but that’s why Mozy exists – to help people recover the files they’ve lost.
Where are you from originally?
I was born and raised in Michigan. I moved to California for a while. I came to Utah to visit my brother and I met my wife on that trip and have stayed here since. Life’s good, I can’t complain!
What do you do for fun on your days off?
On my days off, I’m usually with my family. I like to go to car dealerships and test drive cars. I’m big into mountain biking, camping, basketball, football, nitro-rc cars and gasoline engines - we just love being around cars.
What skills do you have (Certificates, degrees, skills in general) that make you the right person for this job?
I’m VCP (VMware Certified Professional) certified. I’ve always been a computer-savvy person and am the go-to person in my neighborhood for troubleshooting computer issues. I’m mostly self-taught and over the years I’ve acquired different skills/knowledge.
What is Mozy? What is your role in supporting Mozy customers?
Mozy is the leader in online data backup. As part of the Mozy Support team, I help our customers via the Live Chat support option. I chose to work in Support because I really enjoy working with people. When I first started, there was a lot to learn but I’ve picked up on it and it’s been great! I love the relaxed environment, great pay and benefits offered at Mozy. The people are really nice – it’s a positive, encouraging environment. Whenever I tell my friends about my job and the fully stocked break room, they’re always so jealous. No other company can match that!
What do you love most about your role?
Mozy is a really good company to work for and provides lots of learning opportunities. I love working with people and helping them, my role on the Support team allows me to do both!

I’m originally from California. I’ve lived in Utah for the most part since I was 12.
What do you do for fun on your days off?
My days off are definitely spent working with crafts and photography. I make all my hair accessories and I’m known in the support department as the girl that always has a fabric flower in her hair. I also enjoy working in my yard, weather permitting.

Mozy constantly provides all types of learning and training opportunities. Every other week, we have a lunch-and-learn session where we are trained on the newest releases and upcoming features and products. When Mozy Stash was released, we were trained on the features and provided with detailed information that will ultimately help me when assisting our customers. The training sessions are nice because it allows me to learn more about my industry. The added bonus of working at Mozy is that I’m also getting good at troubleshooting my personal computer!
